Alexia M. Anderson

Alexia Mary Phillips Anderson, 88, of 925 N. 38th St., Sheboygan, died at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center on Sunday morning, June 2, 2002.

Alexia was born Aug. 10, 1913, in Milwaukee to Michael and Theresa Reichart[sic] Phillips.

On Oct. 5, 1940, she married Lloyd Anderson at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lomira, Wis. He preceded her in death in 1952.

Alexia lived in Fond du Lac until her retirement from Care Center Nursing Home, where she worked as a dietary aide. After retirement, she moved to Sheboygan.

She is survived by two sons, Gerald Anderson of Cocoa, Fla., and John (Sharon) Anderson of New Berlin; a daughter, Linda (Grant) Henderson of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren, Barbara (Charles) Houle, Tammy Anderson, Marie (Mark) Rieger, Renee Klima, and Julie, Jennifer, Scott and Shaun Anderson; three greatgrandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a step-grand daughter, Sandy Henderson; two brothers, Anton J. Phillips of Vista, Calif., and Albert B. Phillips of Fond du Lac; and nieces.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lila, in 1946; a sister, Elizabeth Kiefer; and nieces and nephews.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, with Pastor James J. Jarumbo officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lomira.

Visitation: A time of visitation and support will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services.

Alexia will be remembered by those who loved her for her wit, her sense of humor and her devotion to the Blessed Mother. Ballhorn Chapels is assisting the family.
