ALFRED J. SCHRAFUNAGEL
Alfred J. Schraufnagel, 86, a resident of Hope Nursing Home, Lomira, died Friday, May 19, 2000, at the home.
He was born in LeRoy on Aug. 21, 1913, the son of Joseph and Teresa Feucht Schraufnagel.
He married Bernice Dolan on June 1, 1918, AT St. John Catholic Church, Byron.
He farmed in the Brownsville area for over 20 years and also was employed as a carpenter. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Lomira.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice; his children, Thomas (Karen) of Plover, Mary Ellen Simon of Lomira, Dan (Mary) of Franklin and George (Linda) of Combined Locks; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Roseann; and two brothers, Hubert and Carl.‘
Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira. The Rev. Vincent Hohlubowicz will officiate, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation: From noon until the time of the services Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Fr. Joe Safiejko Education Fund.
