BERNARD WEYER, SR
Passed from this life Pentecost Sunday, May 23 1915, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. Schmidt, at Lomira. Mr. Bernard Weyer Sr., beloved father of Rev. Father Nicholas Weyer of this city, at the edifying age of 84 years, 2 months and 10 days.
Mr. Weyer had been in failing health for some time, owing to his age, and resignedly awaited the call of his Creator. During his visits here several years ago, he made many friends, who will regret to hear of his demise. He was a man of high ideals, broad culture, self-respecting an intelligent, quiet in disposition, courteous at all times, a loyal citizen in affairs of the state and church. His gentle wife preceded him in death about fourteen years ago. Their wedded life was a beautiful example of domestic happiness. He is survived by five sons and two daughters, namely: Mrs. A. Schmidt and two brothers of Lomira, Mrs. John Zeihen of Brighton, Rev. Fr. Michael Weyer of Martinsville, Rev. Fr. Bernard Weyer of Glenhaven and Rev. Fr. Nicholas Weyer of this city. The funeral took place this Wednesday morning at Lomira. The sympathy of many friends is extended to the bereaved family.
