Beverly Ann Abitz, age 66 formerly of Fond du Lac and a resident of 1817 Raven Street, West Bend died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac. Beverly was born in Fond du Lac on July 2, 1943 the daughter of Albert and Dorothy Anderson Phillips. She managed Hansen's Piggly Wiggly, Saukville as a Front End Store Manager for 5 years. Beverly was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, volunteering time at a free clinic in West Bend, music, plays, animals, traveling, cooking, collecting dolls, grand kids and family gatherings.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by four children; David Abitz, Waupun, Cheryle (Dave) Schultz, Black Creek, Kevin (Carrie) Abitz, Larsen, Russell (Tina) Abitz, West Bend; six grandchildren, Andrew, Alex, Nicole, Pamela, Ryan, and Kayden; two great-grandchildren; Tara and Mya, one sister Diane Phillips, Fond du Lac, two half-sisters, Debbie Schaefer, Suzie Phillips; and her three sisters in love; Pat Abitz, Mary Fitzgerald, and Louise Fleischman. Her parents, former husband David Abitz, one sister, Audrey Reynolds, and one brother, Michael Phillips, preceded her in death.
VISITATION: Friends may call on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 4 to 8 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 126 North 8th Avenue, West Bend with Reverend Nathan Reesman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery, Lomira.
