MRS. BERCHTOLD
Mrs. Charlotte W. Berchtold, 79, of 92 Forest Ave., died Thursday, March 22, 1984, at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 3, 1904, at Newark, N.J., to Fred and Ida Langdan Klein. She was married to Rudolph F. Berchtold on April 26, 1926, at Brooklyn, N.Y.
Ms. Berchtold was a former telephone operator. She and her husband are former residents of the State of Washington, moving o the Fond du Lac area in August of 1983.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Robert of Tacoma, Wash.; and five daughters, Mrs. Richard (Celeste) Nielsen of Elburn, Ill., Mrs. Wiley (Janet Coleman and Mrs. Lois Salinger both of Moselle, Miss., Mrs. Gertrude Norten of Milwaukee and Mrs. Victor (Ruth) Zuber of Brownsville.
Also surviving are 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 12:45 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, Byron, where she was a member. The Rev. Richard Fechhelm will officiate, and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends of Mrs. Berchtold may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
