DELLA VOGT
Della M. Vogt, 75, died Friday Jan. 9, 1998, at her residence, 308 E. Main St., Eden.
She was born June 30, 1922, in Brandt, to Claude and Florence Whitby Oakley. She married Albert J. Vogt at St. John Catholic Church, Byron, on April 28, 1942. She was a cleaning woman at South Hills Country Club, St. Mary Grade School, Eden, and other residences in Fond du Lac. She was a member oat St. Mary Catholic Church, Eden, and the Senior Center in Eden, and was known as the “firemen’s mother.”
She is survived by two sons, Edward (Peggy) Vogt of Fond du Lac, and Richard of Eden; two daughters, Darlene (James) Matteson of Fond du Lac, and Mary (Steven) Dunisch of Fond du Lac; two sisters, Ruby (Jack) Gebhardt of Fond du Lac, and Ione (Merlin) Mayer of Iola; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 11, 1984; and a daughter, Kathleen Ann, in 1955.
Services: A parish vigil will be held at 7 p.m. today at Twohig Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mar Church, Eden, and at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Braun will officiate. Burial will be at St John Cemetery, Byron.
Visitation: From 5 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
