The remains of Dr. Herman Levin, 52, a resident of this city more than 30 years ago, were brought to Neenah for burial in Oak Hill cemetery Monday morning.

Dr. Levin, who had been practicing a Lomira, died last Friday at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, after a two weeks’ illness.  The immediate cause of death was peritonitis.

He was born in Nakskow, Denmark, on May 16, 1879, coming to the United States with his mother and brother in 1890.  They settled in Neenah on September 9 of that year.

He attended the public schools here and later studied medicine in Chicago and Milwaukee, graduating from the medical college, now Marquette University.  He practiced in Wisconsin, Montana and Minnesota.

Surviving are the wife; three daughters, Doris, Bernice and Josephine; three brothers, Walter, Copenhagen, Denmark; Bernhard, Crookston, Minn., and Richard Levin, of Chicago.

Funeral services were held at Lomira.  Among those who attended the services at the grave here were Mr. and Mrs. B. Levin, Crookston, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. R. Levin, Miss Olga Levin, Mrs. Paul Rosenberg, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Broderick, Oshkosh; Mr. and Ms. P. LaPene and Miss Broderick, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Surflow, Nekoosa; Mr. and Mrs. Grantman and Miss Staer, Lomira, and Mr. and Mrs. Jessie LaPene of Oconto.
