DWAYNE RYAN

Dwayne Joseph “Duffy” Ryan, 57, of 191 E. Waupun St., Oakfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1993, at Waupun Memorial Hospital.

He was born Feb. 13, 1936, in the Town of Oakfield, a son of William and Grace DeVoy Ryan. On Sept. 27, 1958, he married Joan Pfalzgraf at St. James Catholic Church in Oakfield.

Mr. Ryan was a 1953 graduate of Oakfield High School and served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was employed at Giddings & Lewis Inc. in Fond du Lac until 1975, and then worked at Tab Products in Mayville.

He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Oakfield and Oakfield V.F.W. post 8092, was past president of Oakfield Booster Club and Marquis Drum & Bugle Corps Booster Club. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 0034 in El Reno, Okla.

Mr. Ryan was interested and very active in youth athletics.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Brenda Wilcox and her husband David of Milwaukee, Beth Ann Roloff and her husband Robert of Charleston, S.C., and Mary Jane Torzala and her husband James of Denmark, Wis.; three sons, Shawn of Oakfield, Timothy and his wife Stacey of Italy, and Patrick and his fiancé Tracy Hilbert of Fond du lac; two granddaughters, Caroline and Kaitlyn, four brothers, James of Oakfield, Gordon of Oshkosh, William and his wife Olive of Plymouth, and Bernard and his wife Margaret of El Reno, Okla; one sister, Madonna Schaefer of Oakfield; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Ryan of Oakfield and Sylvia Ryan of Fond du lac; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; four brothers, Eugene, Russell, Francis and Donald; and one sister, Margaret Ann Conger.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church in Oakfield. TheRev. Don Zerkel will officiate. Burial will be at Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Kohls Funeral Home in Oakfield.
