EDWARD L. AICHER
Edward L. Aicher, 85, went to his heavenly reward Sunday, June 22, 2008, at Hope Health & Rehabilitation Center, Lomira, after a battle with cancer.
He was born May 7, 1923, in Milwaukee, the son of John and Mary Mixa Aicher.
On July 7, 1973, he married Shirley Kraetsch in Milwaukee.
He worked at Mercury Marine, and after retirement he drove for Lomira Auto. Ed enjoyed fishing, playing cards, polka dancing, gardening, feeding and watching the birds, electronic gadgets, puzzle books, the Jey Leno show and time with family and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley of Lomira of 35 years,; he was the father of Richard (Kathy) Aicher; grandfather of Amy (Kurt) Neveau, Adam (Sara) Aicher; great-grandfather of MiKayla and Tyler Neveau, and one expected late summer, all of Green Bay. He is further survived by two sisters, Alma Reimer of Menomonee Falls and Frances Skilondz of Georgia; sister-in-law, Judith Neureuther, and many special nieces; nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Fred; sisters, Cecelia Michels, Mildred Zimmerman; and special friend, Alex.
Visitation: Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2008, from 10 a.m. to noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira.
Services: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2008, at noon at the church. The Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate, and burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Hope Health & Rehabilitation Center, Heartland Hospice or the Lomira Public Library.
