FRANK RIES
Frank Ries, 88, of Route 1, Lomira, died today June 24, 1988, at Grancare Nursing Home.
He was born Aug. 16, 1899, in Lomira, a son of John and Catherine Beck Ries. In October of 1924, he married Margaret Zingsheim who preceded him in death in 1950. In 1954, he married Veronica Serwe.
Mr. Ries resided in the Lomira area all his life.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Bernice Cook of Brownsville, and Beatrice Schill of Campbellsport; one son pat of Lomira; two stepdaughters, Lucille Steinacher of Fond du Lac and Catherine Reindl of Lomira; one stepson, Alois Serwe of Campbellsport; 13 grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren. Six brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Theresa. The Rev. Steve Stradinger will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lomira.
There will be no visitation. Memorials in his name may be directed to St. Mary’s Decorating Fund. Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira is handling arrangements.
