FRED J. MONKS

Fred J. Monks, 79, died Friday noon at Hope Nursing Home, Lomira.  He was a former resident of Los Angeles, Calif.

Born July 18, 1892, in Dublin, Ireland, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Monks.

Survivors of Mr. Monks include a daughter, Mrs. Norine Walgenbach of Oakfield, and four grandchildren.  Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Kohls Co. Funeral Home in Oakfield and at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Oakfield.  The Rev. Ernest Dreher will officiate.  Burial will be at Avoca Cemetery.

Friends of Mr. Monks may call between 6 and 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Oakfield.
