GARY W. BOVEE
Gary W. Bovee, 57, of W7118 County B., Oakfield, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday Sept. 4, 2002.
He was born April 6, 1945, the son of the late John W. and Ruth Grubish Bovee in Owatonna, Minn.
On July 19, 1969, he married Karen Nelson at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in
Fond du Lac.
Gary was a Vietnam Veteran. He served his country from 1965 to 1967.
Gary was employed by the Fond du Lac County Highway Department for 26 years. He most recently was employed by Oakfield Transit/JJ Baumhardt.
He was a member of the Sons of Zebedee-St. James in Oakfield. He was a life member of the VFW Post 8092 where he was part of the Honor Guard.
Gary was a mean of great pride for his home, family and his country.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; three children, Dennis (Susan) Bovee and their sons, Johnathan and Andrew of Clarksville, “Tenn., Kelly (Mark) of Valparaiso, Ind., and Katherine Bovee and her daughter, Baeley of Oshkosh, Wis. He is also survived by his mother, Ruth Bovee of Oakfield; two brothers, John M. (Jackie) of Oakfield and Richard of Oakfield; one sister, Judy (Dale) Langkau of Oshkosh; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John.
Services: A liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at Sons of Zebedee-St. James Catholic Church in Oakfield. The Rev. James Posanski will officiate. Burial will follow at Avoca Cemetery.
Visitation: Visitation will be from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, at Zacherl Funeral Home and again at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
Gary will leave an irreplaceable void in the lives of his family.
Grandpa will be missed greatly.
