George R. Stanek, 63, of Lomira, agricultural agent at Baker Canning Co., Theresa, died at 1 a.m. Sunday at Marinette General Hospital Marinette.  He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage Sunday while working at his summer camp near Marinette.

He was born Aug. 13, 1910, at Two Rivers, a son of Albert and Mary Milzner Stanek.  He was graduated from Two Rivers High School and received a bachelor of science in entomology from the University of Wisconsin –Madison.

On June 12, 1937, he married Evelyn Ulrich at Alma.  Mr. Stanek was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira.

Survivors include his widow; three sons, George of Edgarton, Charles of Mondovi and David of Lomira; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Albert of Two Rivers; and three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Korinek and Mrs. Pal Gleichner both of Two Rivers and Mrs. Frank Pittine of Milwaukee.  Three sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Lomira.  The Rev. John H. Goebel will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Family and friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday att the funeral home.
