CHURCH RITE AT LOMIRA IS SCHEDULED
GEORGE SCHRAUFNAGEL DIES AT 83; BODY TO BE IN STATE
Funeral services for George L. Schraufnagel, 83, who died Monday at the Muskego Nursing Home, will be held at 9:40 a.m. Thursday at the Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira, and 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Lomira, Rev. Mark Lyons officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The former Lomira resident, who had resided with a brother in New Berlin since the death of his wife, was born Aug. 17, 1882, in the Town of LeRoy, the son of Joseph and Sophia Weiglein Schraufnagel. He married Rosina Zern Sept. 29, 1909.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Mary Feucht, Lomira, Mrs. Sophia Rosbeck, Knowles, and Mrs. Christina Fell, Ashford, and four brothers, Alois, Columbus, Andrew, Hartford, Peter, Farmersville, and Alfonse, New Berlin. He was preceded in death by his wife, three sisters and four brothers.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
