HELEN A. BURLETON

OAKFIELD, Wis. – Helen A. Burleton, 77, Route 1, Oakfield, died Wednesday, July 18, 1990, at her home.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from St. James Catholic Church, Oakfield, with the Rev. Guy Gurath officiating.  Burial will be in the Kingston Cemetery, Kingston, Wis.

Mrs. Burleton was born on April 18, 1913, in Merrill, Wis., the daughter of Stephen and Jessie (Jackson) Hadley.  She was married to Merlin Burleton on Feb. 1, 1944, in Kingston, Wis.

She attended Markesan schools and Green Lake County Normal School.  She taught school in Green Lake County for a number of years and was employed as a nurse’s aid at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Fond du Lac, until her retirement in 1972.  She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

Survivors include two sons, George (Judy) Burleton, Appleton, Wis., Mark (Chris) Burleton, Oakfield; five daughters, De Ette (Jerry) O’Malley, Bloomington, Minn., Priscilla (Ernie) Hauri, Monroe, Wis., Kathleen (Lee) Maser, Fond du Lac, Wis., Lydia (Tom) Meisenburg, Baraboo, Wis., Terese (Randy) Marks, Oakfield; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lydia Gray, Waupun, Emily Hadley, fond du Lac.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Kohls Funeral Home, Oakfield, and on Saturday until the time of the service.
