JAN A. HOLZMANN
Jan A. Holzmann, 55, of Lake St. Louis, Mo., died Sunday, Sept.23, 2007, at his home.
He was born May 1, 1952, in Fond du Lac, he son of Raymond and Geraldine Holzmann.
Jan graduated from Washington University, St. Louis, Mo., where he received his master’s degree, and was a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon Fraternity.
Fan was a national sales account manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield, with whom he had worked for 25 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Wentzville, Mo., a fourth degree Knight of Columbus, a former member of the Lake St. Louis Ski Club, and a member of the Saturday Morning Lake St. Louis Men’s Golf League. He was actively involved with the Lake St. Louis Community Association.
Survivors include his mother, Geraldine Jane Holzmann of Fond du Lac; his lifelong companion, Linda Holzmann of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; his daughters, Jacquelyn (Joshua) “Dreyer of Plainfield, Ill., Kimberly Holzmann of Lake St. Louis, Mo., and Ann La Vallie Reitter (Christopher) of Charlotte, N.C.; his sister, Jane (John) Carberry of Colorado Springs, Colo. His brother, R. James Holzmann of Newbury Park, Calif.; two grandchildren; relatives; and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services: A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, 207, at St. Patrick Catholic Church Wentzville, Mo. Cremation will follow the service at the Baue Crematory. An additional memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, 207, at St. John Catholic Church, Woodhull, Wis. A gathering will be held before the service from 10 to11 aa.m.
Memorials may be sent to the Baue Funeral Home, 311 Wood St. O’Fallon, Mo. 73377. Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
