JOHN ACKERMAN
Funeral services for John Ackerman, 76, a former Fond du Lac resident who died Friday, June 26, 1981, will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Zacherl Funeral Home and 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Church.
The Rev. Gerald Schmitz will officiate, and burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Byron.
Visitation will be after 3 0.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ackerman, who lived in Brandon, Fla., died in Gladstone, Mich.
He was born on May 29, 1905, the son of George and Ellen Sullivan Ackerman. He married Marcella Birschbach on Oct. 18, 1939, in Fond du Lac.
He was and accountant for the City of Fond du Lac and Fond du Lac County. He also was an accountant for Annen Brake Service I Fond du Lac and for Columbia Garage in Port Washington. He was a member of St. Anne Church in Ruskin, Fla., and was a merchant marine.
He is survived by his wife and preceded in death by two brothers.
