Joseph Mack, 83, Plover, a retired butcher, died at 10:55 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael’s Hospital, where he had been a patient since Feb. 22.

Mr. Mack, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mack, was born in 1883 in Wayne.  He attended schools there, and later operated a butcher shop in Lomira for 25 years.

He moved to Milwaukee, where he also owned and operated a butcher shop for 25 years.  Following his retirement in 1953, he moved to Stevens Point.  The last six months he had made his home in Plover.

Mr. Mack was married in 1906 to the former Mary Greiten, who preceded him in death in 1963.  Two sons, one sister and a brother also preceded him in death.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Margaret Vogel, Milwaukee; two brothers, Rudy, Hartford, and Herb, Milwaukee; two daughters, Mrs. Adeline Bauer, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Ed Hald, Watertown; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Lomira, with burial to take place in the parish cemetery.
