MRS. SIMON
Mrs. Laurine M. Simon, 67, of 1009 Main St., Lomira, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1988, at her home.
She was born July 18, 1920 in Ashford, to John and Barbara Welch Stoffel. On April 29, 1944, she married Benno Simon at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Ashford.
Mrs. Simon was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira, and the church’s Christian Mothers.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Stan (Barbara Guthrie of the Marshall Islands; Pat Simon of Cuba City, Rose Simon of Zion Ill., Lucille Simon of Kenya, E. Africa, and Clara Simon of Queens, N.Y.; five sons, Philip of Fond du Lac, Norman of Lomira, Frank and Tom, both of Mayville, and Robert of S. Byron; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Jerome Stoffel of Fond du Lac and Leo Stoffel of West Bend; and two sisters, Mrs. Marcella Biesbier of Kewaskum and Mrs. Lucille Steger of Theresa.
Preceding her in death were her husband in July 1987, one son and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St .Martin’s Catholic Church, Ashford. The Rev. Steve Stradinger will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lomira.
Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira.
