LAWRENCE THILL
Lawrence N. “Larry” Thill, 75, of 660 Fifth St., Lomira, died Thursday, March 18, 1982, at St. Agnes Hospital.
He was born Oct. 15, 1906, at Ashford, a son of the late Nickolas and Ann Steinmetz Thill. He attended St. Martin’s Parochial School at Ashford, and on Jan. 11, 1930, married Ethel Baltz at Waukegan, Ill., and they observed their golden anniversary in 1980.
Mr. Thill farmed in Mayville from 1933 to 1948, was a carpenter from 1948 to 1963 in Fond du Lac, operated the Millhome Bar at Kiel from 1963 to 1965, Parkway Bar at Hilbert from 1965 to 1966 when he moved to Lomira and retired.
He was a member of the Oakfield and Lomira Senior Citizens and Holy Name Society of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Carlton (Jeannine) Marose of Springstead, Wis., and Mrs. David (Ruth) Rolph of Kimball, Neb.; a son, Del of Fond du Lac; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Julia Schaefer of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Dorothy Murphy, Mrs. Rosella Schweda and Mrs. Ann Eilbes all of Milwaukee.
Five brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Lomira. The Rev. Josoeph Safiejko will officiate, and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation for Mr Thill will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
