LEON RIESE

Leon Riese, 62, Route 1, Oakfield, died Thursday at Waupun Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack at his home.

Mr. Riese was born Oct. 29, 1909, in the Town of Springville, a son of Frank and Clara Garb Riese.  He married Josephine Elsinger on June 10, 1931, at LeRoy.

The couple farmed all their married life in the Oakfield area.  Mr. Riese was a member of St. James Catholic Church and Holy Name Society at Oakfield.

Survivors include his widow; two sons, Arnold of Oakfield and Vernon a home; six grandchildren; a brother, Donald of Fond du Lac; and a sister, Mrs. Herb Franke of Oakfield.  One brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Kohls Co. Funeral Home, Oakfield, and at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Oakfield.  The Rev. Richard Fechhelm will officiate and burial will be in Avoca Cemetery at Oakfield.

Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
