Mrs. Lorraine E. Giernoth, 84, of N5908 Hillcrest Road, Town of Lamartine, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 1991, at St. Agnes Hospital.
She was born June 11, 1906, in Owatonna, Minn., a daughter of Walter and Amelia Sekora Grubish. On Sept. 1, 1925, she married Walter Giernoth in Chicago. He died on Oct. 13, 1982.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Oakfield and formerly was employed by Kleinschmidt Manufacturing of Deerfield, Ill., for 20 years. After retiring, she and her husband moved to Oakfield. She was a member of the Oakfield VFW Post 8092 Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Bovee and her husband Irving of Oakfield; Ruth Bovee of Oakfield; three sons, Walter and his wife Lois of Ingleside, Ill. Paul and his wife Joyce of Ingleside, Ill., and Jack and his wife Roxanne of Waukegan, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Giernoth of Round Lake Park Ill.; and three special friends, Chris Giernoth of Hollins, Ala., and Frank and Gracie Green of Fond du Lac.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, LeRoy; one sister; three brothers; and one son-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from St. James Catholic Church in Oakfield. The Rev. Guy Gurath will officiate. Burial will take place in Avoca Cemetery.
Friends and family may call Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, where a parish vigil will be held at 7 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to the time of services at the church.
