MARIAN E. SCHMITT

Marian E. Schmitt, 69, formerly of Lomira, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at St. Francis Home, Fond du Lac.

She was born Jan. 30, 1931, in the Town of Lomira, a daughter of John and Sophie Melzer Weninger.

On June 19, 1954, she married James Schmitt at St. Mary Catholic Church, Lomira.

She was a graduate of Lomira High School and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Lomira, and its Christian Mothers.  She was a clerk and bookkeeper at Tolzman Hardware, Lomira, for many years.

Survivors include her husband, James, of Bettendorf, Iowa; three daughters, Jane (Mike) Bishop of Kohler, Julie (Jim) Bintzler of Round Hill, Va., and Joan Schmitt of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; four grandchildren, Michelle, Nicole and Craig Bishop and Matthew Bintzler; a brother, Lloyd (Arline) Weninger of Brownsville; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sophie.

Services:  Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Lomira.  The Rev. Vincent Holubowicz will officiate.  Burial will be at the parish cemetery.

Visitation:  Family and friends may visit from 4 until the 7 p.m. hour of services Monday at St. May Catholic Church.

Kietzer Funeral Home Lomira is serving the family.
