MICHAEL COSTELLO, 91, DIES IN FOND DU LAC
Michael Costello, 91, pioneer of Fond du Lac County and the county’s first highway commissioner, died Sunday at the home of his daughter, in Fond du Lac.
Mr. Costello, an uncle of Mrs. George E. Harvey and of John D. Murray of this city, had visited in Escanaba on numerous occasions and was well-known here.
He was born in Byron, Wis., and lived in the community until a few years ago when he moved to Fond du Lac to live with his daughter. He was the last surviving member of the Costello family.
He leaves three sons and two daughters, Addis E., of Town of Fond du Lac, Vincent and Eugene of “Byron, Roth, of Fond du Lac, and Mrs. Clarence Ryan, of Lodi, Wis., and 25 grandchildren.
Funeral services which Mr. and Mrs. Harvey and Mr. Murray attended were held Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock at St. Joseph’s church in Fond du Lac, with burial in Bryon Cemetery.
