Phillip Wayne Hauser, 70, a resident of Byron, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 20, 2009, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, with his family at his side.

He was born on Jan. 3, 1939, in Chicago, ill., a son of the late Alvin and Mary Hahn Hauser.

Phillip was a graduate of St. Mary’s Springs Academy in Fond du Lac.

He later served in the United States Army. He served in France from 1958 to 1961.

He was engaged in dairy farming in the Byron area most of his life. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Survivors include six sisters, Barbara (Fred) Halog of Fond du Lac, Audrey (Bruce) Pedeson of Scottsdale ,Ariz., Mary Wilson of Arvada, Colo., Connie Hauser of Aurora, Colo., Dorothy Zuehlke of Waupaca, and Helen (Joseph) Messina of Aurora, ill.; one brother, James Hauser of Byron; also by many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Mary.

Visitation: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 2 t 3:45 p.m. at Sons of Zebedee Catholic Church, Highway 175, in Sout Byron.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Sons of Zebedee. The Rev. Michael Petersen will officiate. Burial will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Eden.
