RICHARD GODINA
Richard W. “Rick” Godina, 46, of 1229 Main St., Lomira, died Saturday, Feb 13, 1993, at St. Agnes Hospital, following an apparent heart attack.
He was born June 4, 1946, in Milwaukee, a son of Mary and Joseph Magana Godina Sr. On March 26, 1982, he married Kathy Riese in Fond du Lac.
Mr. Godina was a 1965 graduate of Goodrich High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1977. He served in Vietnam and also was in the Army reserve. He was employed at GTE Telephone Co.
Mr. Godina was a member of American Legion Post 347 of Lomira, the Lomira Lions Club and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Corey Richard at home; two daughters, Ashley Rose and Kelli Lynn, both at home; his parents of Fond du Lac; two sisters, Kay Roberts and her husband Randy, and Michele Putzer and her husband Greg, all of Fond du Lac; and two brothers, Joe Jr., of Fond du Lac, and Mark and his wife Sara of California; three nieces; three nephews; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and his parents-in-law.
His paternal and maternal grandparents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira. The Rev. Robert Berghammer will officiate. Cremation will follow.
Visitation is from 4 to 8:30 p.m. today at Kietzer Funeral Home in Lomira, with a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m.
