MRS. MICHELS DIES AT 65 IN HOSPITAL
LOMIRA CHURCH RITES SET FOR RESIDENT OF BROWNSVILLE
Mrs. Oscar (Ruth) Michels, 65, of Brownsville died Friday afternoon at St. Agnes Hospital.
She was born May 4, 1901, at Plymouth, Iowa, the daughter of James and Margaret Gallagher Devoi, and married Oscar Michels on May 22, 1923 at St. John's Catholic Church in the Town of Byron.
Mrs. Michels was a member of the St. Mary's Christian Mothers Society of Lomira, the Daughters of Isabella of Mayville and the Brownsville Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her widower; five daughters, Mrs. Patricia Kehrmeyer of Waupun, Mrs. Jean Flora, Mrs. Janice Maultra, Mrs. Janet Fischer, all of Milwaukee, and Sister M. Pumon, O.S. F., Torrington, Wyo.; four sons, Francis J. Michels of Lomira, Richard Michels of Milwaukee, O. Jerry Michels and Dale R. Michels, both of Brownsville; four sisters, Mrs. Grace Ryan of Oakfield, Mrs. Marcella Frazier, city, Mrs. Mary Farrow of Ventura, Calif., and Mrs. Irene Herdina, Wauwatosa; four brothers, Justin, Clarence and Martin Devoi, all of Reeseville, and James DeVoi of Denver, Colo., and 22 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Kietzer Funeral Home in Lomira and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church there with Rev. Mark Lyons officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Sunday.
