Sylvester A. Burbach, 62, of Route 1, Oakfield, died at 5:10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 1980, at St. Agnes Hospital.
He was born June 22, 1918, at Hartington, Neb., a son of the late Mathias and Frances Hiemes Burbach. On April 28, 1941, he married Loretta Hesse at Bow Valley, Neb.
Mr. Burbach moved to Wisconsin in 1946 and farmed in the Watertown and Oakfield areas. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church at Oakfield and Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, David of Route 1, Oakfield, Michael of Fond du Lac, Steven of Pine, Colo., and Richard of Antioch, Calif., and three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Janice) Brownell of Mount Laurel, N.J., Mrs. Dennis (Judith) Conger of Route 4 and Mrs. Manohar (Jeanine Mangewalla of Concord, Calif.
Other survivors include 15 grandchildren; three sisters Mrs. Alphonse (Margaret) Wortmann of Bow Valley, Neb., Mrs. Vincent (Veronica) Klug of Somerset, Iowa, and Mrs. Murphy (Marcella) Kniefl of Ponca, Neb.; and two brothers, Hubert of Milwaukee and
Roman of Hartington, Neb.
A sister, three brothers and a grandson preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Uecker-Witt funeral Home and at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church. The Rev. George Gibbons will officiate, and entombment will follow in Chapel of Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Burbach will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Wisconsin Heart Fund.
