THOMAS J. EISENHUT

Thomas J. Eisenhut, 83, of 750 Water St., Lomira, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, at Waupun Memorial Hospital, Waupun.

He was born July 23, 1920, in Princeton, the son of Thomas and Amanda Klink Eisenhut.

On June 15, 1949, he married Jeanette Strobel at St. Kilian’s Church in St. Kilian.

He attended grade and high school at Rosendale and in 1937, his family moved to Lomira.  He graduated from Lomira High School in 1938.  He enlisted in the Air Force on Sept. 1, 1942, and served in World War II, being stationed at various bases in the United States and Guam.  He received his honorable discharge on Feb. 16, 1946.  He was proprietor of Eisenhut’s Bar in Lomira from 1955 to 1991.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira.  Tom was an avid hunter, fisherman, card layer and Packer fan.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette of 54 years of Lomira; one son, Steven (Darlene) Eisenhut of Lombard, Ill.; one daughter, Gerri (Michael) Kahut of Fond du Lac; four grandsons, Jason Eisenhut of Chicago, Ill., Grant Eisenhut of Tampa, Fla., Shawn Kahut of Fond du Lac and Corey Kahut of Columbus; and one sister, Elaine Martin of Menomonee Falls,

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Amanda Eisenhut; one sister, Edna Schuster; and two brothers-in-law, Ray Martin and Ruben Schuster.

Services:  Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday Dec. 14, 2003, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira, with Father Kevin Kowalske officiating.  Private burial will take place Monday in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation:  Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Waupun Dialysis Center.
