Virginia Gueller, 97, a resident of Highway 175, rural Fond du Lac (Town of Byron) died Thursday, Feb. 1, 1, 2001 at All About Life Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Fond du Lac.
She was born May 28, 1903, at Manistee, Mich., a daughter of the late Leonard and Emily Pogarzelski Maternowski.
She graduated from Spenserian Business College in Milwaukee and was married to Clarence Gueller on Sept. 21, 1926, in Milwaukee.
Virginia was a member of the Sons of Zebedee Catholic Church in Byron and was a Red Cross volunteer for more than 40 years.
She is survived by a son, Robert of Fond du Lac; a daughter, Mary Alice Kuechenberg of Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989, one sister; one brother and one son, Richard.
Services: Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Friday at the Sons of Zebedee Catholic Church, Byron. The Rev. Jerome Wagner officiated and entombment was at Ledgeview Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Fond du Lac.
Visitation: Visitation was held at the church from 4 p.m. until time of the services.
