MRS. BECHTEL DIES; FUNERAL SERVICE IS SET
CITY NATIVE EXPIRES AT 83; OAKFIELD CHURCH RITES
Mrs. Alma Bechtel, 83, of Oakfield died early this morning at Waupun Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since Sunday. She was born Feb. 11, 1882, in this city, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sonntag, and married Frank Bechtel at Milwaukee, residing there until the death of her husband in 1934.
She then moved to Oakfield where she was a member of St. James Catholic Church and of the Altar Society. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, one being Mrs. Herman Mertz, city.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Kohls Co. Funeral Home in Oakfield and at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church there. Rev. Joseph Mueller will officiate. The body will then be taken to the Ritter Funeral Home in Milwaukee to lie in state Monday afternoon and evening. Burial will be Tuesday at Wauwatosa Cemetery, Wauwatosa. Friends may call at the funeral home in Oakfield after 2 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Bechtel, who died Thursday, were held at 9:30 a.m. today at Kohls Co. Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Oakfield, Rev. Josepth Miller officiating.
Pallbearers were Dr. Edward Boom, Gordon DeMand, William Berndt, Edward Graf, Louie Uttendorfer and Joseph Heimerl.
Following funeral services the body was moved to the Ritter Funeral Home, Milwaukee where services will be held on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Wauwatosa Cemetery, Wauwatosa.
