ANDY RIES, 66, FORMER BROWNSVILLE RESIDENT, DIED JAN. 17
Funeral services for Andrew A. Ries, 66, of Three Lakes, a former Brownsville resident who died Jan. 17 at University hospitals, Madison, were conducted Monday.
The Rev. John Goebel officiated at the 10:30 a.m. services in St. Mary’s church, Lomira. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Ries was born Aug. 14, 1908 in Dodge county, the son of John and Catherine Beck Ries. He married Rose Kedinger on June 24, 1939.
The couple owned and operated Roseandy’s Club 49 in rural Brownsville, prior to moving to Three Lakes in 1959, where they operated the Sun Glow Resort.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dale, River Grove Ill, and William, Brownsville; one granddaughter, six brothers, John and George, both of Fond du Lac, Arnold, Frank and Lawrence all of Lomira, and Dr. Michael Ries, Brownsville: and one sister, Loretta Groneck, Fond du Lac.
Two brothers preceded him in death.
