ANDREW SAUER
Andrew J. Sauer, 84, of 217 School St., Lomira, owner and operator of Sauer’s Locker Service until retirement in 1956, died Tuesday, May 22, 1979, at his home.
He was born at Allenton on Feb. 2, 1895, a son of the late George and Mary Rafenstein Sauer. He married Lidvina Schaffer at Hartford on Nov. 18, 1919.
Mr. Sauer was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Lomira and the Men’s Society.
Surviving are two sons, Walter of Theresa and Raymond of Lomira; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lawrence of West Bend. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1978, by a son, a grandchild, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Lomira. The Rev. John Goebel will officiate, and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends of Mr. Sauer may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
