BENNO SIMON

Funeral services for Benno Peter Simon, 71, of 1009 Main St., Lomira, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira.

The Rev. Stephen Stradinger will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lomira.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8:30 p.m. at the Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira.

Mr. Simon died Monday, July 20, 19o87, at St. Agnes Hospital.

He was born Dec. 14, 1915, to Herman and Katherine Mueller Simon at St. Kilian.  On April 29, 1944, he married Laurine Stoffel at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Ashford.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira, and its Holy Name Society.  He had been employed at Grande Cheese Co., Brownsville, until his retirement in 1978.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Stan (Barbara) Guthrie of Marshall Islands, Pat Simon of Cuba City, Rose Simon of Zinn Ill. Lucille Simon of Kenya, East Africa, and Clara Simon of Queens, N.Y., five sons, Philip of Fond du Lac, Norman at home, Frank and Tom, both of Mayville, and Robert of South Byron; 13 grandchildren; four brothers, Rupert of Miami, Fla., Hugo of LeRoy, Felix of Fond du Lac and Herman of Milwaukee; and seven sisters, Mrs. Hedwig Uyvari of Milwaukee, Mrs. Cliff (Madeline) Kruse of Milwaukee, Mrs. Imelda Zingsheim of Hartford, Mrs. Rita Peters of Brownsville, Miss Norma Simon of Appleton, Mrs. Howard (Dorothy) Martin of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., and Mrs. Katherine Peterson of Norman, Okla.

He was preceded in death by one son and four sisters.
