BERNICE SCHMIDT
Bernice K. Schmidt, 72, of 732 Milwaukee St., Lomira, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1993, at her home.
She was born March 30, 1920, in Maryown, a daughter of August and Anna Gilgenbach Krebsbach. On Sept. 24, 1938, she married Clarence Schmidt at St. James Catholic Church in Oakfield.
Mrs. Schmidt was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira and the Ladies of St. Mary’s. She was employed for 26 years at Regal Ware in Kewaskum.
Survivors include her husband, two sons, Carl and his wife Terri of Racine, and Glenn and his wife Mary of Fond du Lac; three daughters, Sharon Schmidt of Racine, Gayle Braun and her husband Robert of North Fond du Lac, and Mary Jo Schustedt and her husband Robert of Bend, Ore.; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Walter Krebsbach, and his wife Marguerite of Brownsville.
Preceding her in death were he parents, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira. The Rev. Ernest O. Dreher will officiate. Burial will be at the parish cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kietzer Funeral Home in Lomira, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials in her name may be directed to Hospice Hope at St. Agnes Hospital.
