Obituary

Mrs. John F. (Betty) Hardie, 52, of Route 1 Oakfield, died at 10:05 a.m.Sunday at St. Agnes Hospital due to cancer following a lengthy illness.

Born March 24, 1926 in Milwaukee, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Phoebe Glidden Hoedia. She attended Nathan Hale High School in West Allis and on Oct. 2, 1948, she was married to Mr. Hardie in West Allis.

Mrs. Hardie was a member of St. James Catholic Church at Oakfield, Altar Society, Highland Homemakers of Oakfield and Make the Day Count Club of Fond du lac. She taught CCD classes at St. James Church.

Surviving are her widower; three sons, Kit and Kurt, both at home and Keith of Rice Lake; a brother, Jacob Hoedia of West Allis and a sister, Mrs. Doris Fronstein of Milwaukee.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church, Oakfield. The Rev. Richard A. Fechhelm will officiate, and entombment will take place in Shrine of Rest Chapel at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends of Mrs. Hardie may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Kohls Funeral Home, Oakfield.
