MR. GERNENZ
Friends of Carl D. Gernenz, 45, of Route 2, may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:15 p.m. Monday from the funeral home and at 1:45 p.m. from St. John’s Catholic Church, Byron, with the Rev. Richard Fechhelm officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Gernenz died Thursday, July 28, 1983, as a result of electrocution.
He was born Sept. 23, 1937, at Ainsworth, Ind., the son of Carl P and Edna Schneider Gernenz. He married Margaret Benkel on Sept. 7, 1963, at St. James Church, Sauk Village, Ill. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Byron, and was employed at International Paper Company for 19 years as a press operator.
Survivors include his wife and parents of Fond du Lac; one daughter, Cynthia Ann, at home; one son, Phillip, at home; one brother, Charles of Fond du Lac; two sisters, Mrs.Lyle (Charlotte Kelly of Dyer, Ind., and Mrs. Donald (Phyllis Ann) Bales of Hebron, Ind.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
