CARROLL PETERS
Carroll Herman “Pete” Peters, 54, of rural Byron, who farmed the Peters farm in the Town of Byron all his life, died Thursday afternoon, March 1, 1979, at St. Agnes Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in the Town of Byron on Nov. 28, 1924, a son of Herman A. and Della Kuen Peters. He married Delores Ogle at Oakfield on Oct. 9, 1948.
Mr. Peters was an insurance agent for Theresa Mutual Fire Ins. Co. for 25 years. He was a member and trustee of St. John’s Catholic Church of Byron, president of Byron Cemetery Association and a member of Brownsville Neighborhood Mixed Bowling League.
Survives include his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Timothy (Jane) Kaiser of North Fond du Lac, Susan and Cheryl both at home, a son , Charles at home, a grandson, his mother of Ripon; and two sisters, Mrs. Vilas (Audrey) Burian of West Allis and Mrs. Vincent (Orion) Fashun of Ripon. He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Church, Byron. The Rev. Richard A. Fechhelm will officiate, and burial will be in Byron Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Peters will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
