MRS. CLARA KIEFER
Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Kiefer, 83, a former Lomira resident who died Thursday in Horicon, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Church, Lomira.
The Rev. John Goebel will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Sunday at Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira.
Mrs. Kiefer was born Oct. 24, 1891, at LeRoy a daughter of Andrew and Johanna Gietl Schmidbauer. On Oct. 6, 1914, she married Peter Kiefer of LeRoy. He preceded her in death in February 1974. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society, Lomira.
Survivors include three sons, Andrew of Slinger, Hugo of Waupun, and Raymond of Lomira; four daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Cariello of Racine, Mrs. Mary Ann Schalinske of Medford, Mrs. Rose Marie Goebel of Horicon and Mrs. Jean Alice Collien of Eagle River; 23 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Alfons, Joseph and John Schmidbauer, all of LeRoy; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Kern of West Bend, and Mrs. Ida Meloche of St. Petersburg, Fla.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Kiefer was preceded in death by an infant son, two brothers and five sisters.
