Cornelius H. Weninger, 58, of Route 1, Brownsville, died Saturday, June 13, 1986, at St. Agnes Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Sept. 19, 1928, in the Town of Lomira, a son of Jacob P. and Lucy Oechsner Weninger.  He completed the University of Wisconsin-Extension course in agriculture.

Mr. Weninger farmed in the Brownsville area all his life.  He was a member of Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post 347, served in the U.S. Army from 1951-53 and was a veteran of the Korean War.  In addition, he was a member of St. Mary’s Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his mother of rural Brownsville; four sisters, Mrs. LeRoy (Imelda) Ritger of West Bend, Elizabeth Beck and Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Feucht, both of Lomira, and Mrs. Lucille Nowakoski of Milwaukee; five brothers, Kenneth of East Dubuque, Ill., Robert of Brownsville,  Roger of Mayville, Michael of Van Dyne and George of Lomira.

He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Kietzer Funeral Home in Lomira.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira, with the Rev. Stephen Stradinger officiating.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
