Dennis V. Bauer, 71 years, of 989 Milwaukee St., Lomira, WI passed away on Friday, September 9, 2011 after a courageous battle with leukemia at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 12th at 6:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Lomira, WI. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 12th from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Lomira, WI. Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery, Lomira, WI, where graveside military rites will be conducted by the Lomira American Legion Post # 347.
Dennis was born on October 9, 1939 in LeRoy, WI, to Herman and Sabina (Huber) Bauer. He was a 1957 graduate of Mayville High School. Dennis was united in marriage to Darlene M. Hanke on September 28, 1963 at St Mary Catholic Church, Lomira, WI
Dennis was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Lomira, WI and a veteran of the National Guard. Dennis retired from Super Excavators of Menomonee Falls, WI.
Dennis is survived by his wife Darlene; his children; Jamie (John) Schmitz of Waukesha and Shane (Krista) Bauer of Rosendale, WI. 5 grandchildren; Callie Schmitz, Eric Schmitz, Samuel Bauer, Gwyneth Bauer, and Matthew Bauer; His sisters; Marion Ruddy of DePeere, Patricia Sternat of Lomira; His brothers; Willard (Stella) Bauer of LeRoy, Eugene (Arlien) Bauer of LeRoy. 1 sister in law; Lorraine Bauer of Mayville, further survived by nieces & nephews, other relatives & friends.
He was preceded in death by; his parents; his daughter Shelly, his brother Richard, and 2 brothers in law, Gordon Ruddy and Arnold Sternat.
