ELROY L. LUEDTKE
Elroy L. Luedtke, 75, of 642 5th Street, Lomira, died Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at his home.
He was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Fond du Lac County, the son of Henry and Elizabeth Moldenhauer Luedtke.
On Oct. 12, 1946, he married Eileen Martin at St. Mary Church, Lomira.
Mr. Luedtke was formerly employed by Baker Canning Company of Theresa, retiring as a superintendent in 1982. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army with Company C, 119th Infantry 30th Infantry Division in Europe, and was a member of Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post 347. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and wildlife.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen; three sons, Darrell Luedtke of Franklin, Dale Luedtke of Lomira and Dean Luedtke of Oakfield; one daughter, Cheryl (Laurence) Heckel of Germantown; four grandchildren, Michael Luedtke of East Point, Mich., David Luedtke of Warren, Mich., Amy and Scott Heckel of Germantown; one sister-in-law, Leah Luedtke of Pardeeville; nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Sylvester, Roger and Leslie.
Services: Private family services were held at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home on Friday. The Rev. Stanley Hayes officiated and burial was at St. Mary Cemetery in Lomira.
A memorial has been established and donations may be directed in care of Mr. Luedtke's home address.
Uecker-Witt Funeral home is serving the family.
