MRS. ERDMANN
Mrs. Esther M. Erdmann, 67, of 161 E. White St., Oakfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1986, at her home following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Erdmann was born March 17, 1918, a daughter to George and Mary Smith Burkhard at Lazier, Colo. On Aug. 15, 1953, she was married to Warren Erdmann in Denver, Colo. After their marriage, the couple moved to Oakfield where they have resided since 1954. She was a registered nurse and had received her nursing education in
Denver. She served with the U. S. Air Corps from 1941 to 1953 and had served during World War II in the South Pacific. She was also employed at the Veteran’s Hospital, Denver. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Oakfield.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, James of Oakfield and John of Freemont, Neb.; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Marjorie) Vandersteen of Oakfield; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Albert of Hotchkiss, Colo., Phillip of Albuquerque, N. M. Leo of France and Joseph of Denver; and two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Brimhall of Albuquerque and Mrs. Ralph (Martha) Loudenburg of Windsor, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Private memorial services will be held at St. James’ Catholic Church, Oakfield. Kohls Funeral Home, Oakfield, is in charge of arrangements.
