MRS. GASSNER

Mrs. Esther Gassner, 82, a resident of St. Francis Home for the past eight years, died Wednesday, March 26, 1986, at St. Agnes Hospital.

Mrs. Gassner was born April 27, 1903, a daughter to Michael and Ellen Raese Scheberl Sr. at the Town of LeRoy. On Sept. 21, 1921, she was married to Joseph Gassner at St. Andrew's Church, LeRoy.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Aaron (Gertrude) Retzlaff of Lomira, Mrs. Reno (Lyra) Battistine of Brownsville, and Mrs. Arthur (Mary Ann ) Hamberger of Fond du Lac; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Scheberl of Oakfield; and five sisters, Ida Graf of Theresa, Alvina Schrafunagel of Mayville, Ella Gensmer of Hartford, Lucilla Beck of California and Mary Krueger of Waupun.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, two daughters, three sisters, five brothers and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 4:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, Lomira. The Rev. Joseph Safiejko will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lomira.

Friends may call Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira.
