GLADYS I. GOTAUTIS
Gladys I. Gotautis, 57, formerly of Oakfield, and a resident of Hospice Home of Hope for the past month, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at Hospice Home of Hope.
She was born on Sept, 25, 1943, at Oakfield, the daughter of Joseph and Marie Hunke Eggers.
On Oct. 8, 1988, she married Steve Gotautis at Holcombe, Wis.
Gladys took care of her parents and later moved to Ladysmith, Wis., where she worked at Mount Scenario College prior to her marriage.
She was a member of Sons of Zebedee- St. James Church, Oakfield.
She enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, biking, animals, the outdoors and caring for her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include 13 brothers and sisters, Josephine Priepke of Fond du Lac, Anna (Tom) Wells of Viola, Wis.,, Pauline (Ronnie) Amil of Fond du Lac, Patricia Moses of Fond du Lac, Elaine (Don) Steger of Kewaskum, Joseph (Judy) Eggers of Mayville, Joyce Schlefke of Oakfield, Grace (Leo) Clark of Waupun, Mary (Jim) Hilbert of Mayville, Arlene (Alfred) Wiese of Theresa, James (Gloria) Eggers of Oak Center, Kathy (Larry) Zentner of Fond du Lac and David (Helen)Eggers of Wild Rose; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Terrance; an infant brother, Michael; an infant sister, Christine; brothers-in-law, Harold Schlefke, David Priepke, Ed Moses and Earl Schaefer; and one nephew, Gregory Hilbert.
Services: A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2001, at Sons of Zebedee-St. James Church, Oakfield, with the Rev. James Posanski officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation: There will be no visitation. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are appreciated to the Hospice Home of Hope.
