MRS. WILL RYAN
Mrs. Will Ryan, 83, of Oakfield, died at 7:30 a.m. today at St. Agnes Hospital.
She was born Sept. 5, 1891, at Armstrong, a daughter of James and Margaret Gallagher Devoy. On Feb. 14, 1912, the former Grace Devoy married Will Ryan at Holy Family Church, Mason City, Iowa.
The couple moved to the Town of Bryon in 1920. In 1945 they settled in Oakfield. Mrs. Ryan was a member of St. James Church, Oakfield, and the Oakfield Senior Citizens and was an honorary member of St. James church Altar Society.
Among survivors are her widower; two daughters, Mrs. Madonna Schaefer and Mrs. Alvin Conger, both of Oakfield; seven sons, Russell and Dwayne, both of Oakfield, James and Donald, both of Fond du Lac, Gordon of South St. Paul, Minn., Bernard of El Reno, Okla., and William of Plymouth; 38 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Marcella Frazier of Fond du Lac; and four brothers, Clarence, Martin and Justin Devoy, all of Reesville, and James of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ryan will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Kohl’s Co. Funeral Home, Oakfield, and at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, Oakfield. The Rev. Richard Fechhelm will officiate and burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Byron.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday.
