HELEN JOHNSON
Helen Johnson, 77, of W6577 Highway Y, Brownsville, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Select Specialty Hospital in Milwaukee.
She was born on Jan. 2, 1926, in Pulaski, Wis., to Walter and Mary (Frasz) Olszewski.
On Nov. 28, 1963, she married Nels Johnson in Racine.
Helen attended grade school in Pulaski. She resided in the Racine area for many years. She and her husband, Nels, then moved to the Brownsville area, where they farmed for 14 years. She was a member of Sons of Zebedee-St. James and John Catholic Church, Fond du Lac Senior Center and Brownsville Senior Bowling League. Helen was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Survivors include one son, Terry (Marlene) Roeschen of Burlington, Wis.; two daughters, Pamela Johnson of Brownsville, and Judith (Doug) Zuehlke of Waupun; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Roeschen of Racine; six grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Kayla, Emily, Dustin and David; one sister, Clara Horner of West Bend one brother, Syl (Cora) Olszewski of Johnson Creek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, both husbands, John Roeschen and Nels Johnson, one son, Michael, and her brothers and sisters.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at Sons of Zebedee-St. James and John Catholic Church on Highway 175 in the Township of Byron, with the Rev. John Kennedy officiating.
Visitation: Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 203, at the Cottrill Funeral Home in Mayville and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 203 at the church.
Cottrill Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family.
