Obituary

Henry Bernard Wessing, 75, of 990 N. Water St., Lomira, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1995, at St. Agnes Hospital.

He was born on Nov. 1, 1919, in LeRoy, a son of John and Elizabeth Meis Wessing. In April 1941, he married Audrey Schill at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira.

Mr. Wessing attended Lomira Schols. He farmed and was an agent with Wisconsin Life Insurance. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira, Knights of Columbus Council 664 and a 25 plus-year member of Associated Milk Producers. He enjoyed traveling and vacationing, as well as his famiy, children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, four sons William J and his wife Penny of Random Lake, John and his wife Joan of Lomira, James and his wife Sue of Kewaskum, and Steve and his wife Cheryl of Byron; four daughters, Judith Towne and her husband Charles of Greendale, Sherry Zickert and her husband Jim of Eldorado, Diane Larson and her husband James of Waupun, and Mary Beth Dixon and her husband John of Platteville; 24 grandchildren, Todd, Michele, Tim, Melissa and Troy Wessing, Eric, Sara, Heidi and Brian Towne, Brett and his wife Peggy, Scott and Cory Zickert, Brad and Matt Larson, Chris, Nicki and Justin Wessing, Ann, Amy and Ashley Wessing, Kaitlyn and Emily Wessing, and Molly and Tanner Dixon; one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Zickert; and two nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Catherine and one nephew.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira. The Rev. Steve Stradinger will officiate. Entombment will be at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac.

Visitation is from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Kietzer Funeral Home in Lomira.
