Jay McDonald Jr., 78, of W6603 Highway Y, Route 1, Brownsville, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 1990 at his home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1912, in South Byron, a son of Jay and Helen Leichtle McDonald. On July 17, 1937, he married Helen Dyer at St. John’s Catholic Church, Byron.
Mr. Mc Donald retired from Romort Manufacturing, Oakfield. He was owner and operator of McDonald Lawn Mower Service.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Carole Shady and her husband Rudy; six grandchildren, Kim and his wife Diane, Mark and his wife Nikki, Kevin, Michael, Michelle and Melissa; two great-grandchildren, Joelle and Sara Shady; one brother-in-law, Don Reilly of Beaver Dam; and nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, Byron. The Rev. Guy Gurath will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where a parish vigil will be held at 7 p.m.
