JERRY JERABEK DIES AT 79; PRESIDENT OF CEMETERY
Jerry Jerabek, 79, a resident of rural Oakfield and president of and sexton of the Avoca Cemetery Association of Oakfield, died unexpectedly Sunday at his home following a two month illness.
Born March 25, 1887, at Kewaunee, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Jerabek. He married Isabelle Alt Jan. 4, 1910, in Chicago. They moved to North Dakota where they farmed until 1940 then moved to their farm in Oakfield.
Survivors include his widow, four sons, Irwin and Arnold of Milwaukee, Dick, Oakfield, and Douglas, North Fond du Lac; six daughters, Mrs. Glen Maurer, Algoma, Mrs. Bernadine Harnes, Milwaukee, Mrs. Burnetta Leichtman, Abbotsford, Mrs. Harvey Novotnony, Kewaunee, Mrs. Delores Priebe of Algoma and Mrs. William Jerabek, Denmark; 41 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Louis, Grand Ronde, Ore, and John of Kewaunee; and one sister, Mrs. Walter Poehls of Algoma.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kohls Co. Funeral Home, Oakfield. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Oakfield, Rev. Joseph Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Avoca Cemetery.

Funeral services for Jerry Jerabek of Oakfield, who died Saturday, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Kohls Co. funeral Home in Oakfield and at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church there, Rev. Joseph Mueller officiated. Burial was in Avoca Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Bovee, Ernest Kneisel, Robert Meyer, Arnold Bartell, Paul Lund and Louis Uttendorfer.
